Valentine J. Butcher 
Valentine J. was born on February 28th, 1788. Valentine J.'s father was Balthasar Butcher and his mother was Elizabeth Bush. His paternal grandparents were George Valentin Metzger Butcher and Maria Elizabeth Keifer. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named George J., John Anderson, Gasper, Solomon, Henry, Jacob, William, Nicholas, Sarah, Girl, Elizabeth and Mary Ann. He was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 75 on September 6th, 1863 in Ritchie County, West Virginia.-
