Balthasar Butcher 
Balthasar was born on January 26th, 1753 in Frederick County, Maryland. Balthasar's father was George Valentin Metzger Butcher and his mother was Maria Elizabeth Keifer. His paternal grandparents were Johann Phillip Metzgar and Anna Catharina Dohm; his maternal grandparents are Johan Wilhelm Keifer and Anna Catharina Lepper. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Nichlas Metzger, George Valentine, Jacob, Valentine, Johannes, Anna Barbara, Louisa, Elizabeth, Anna and Margaret. He died at the age of 76 in 1829 in Lewis County, Virginia (now West Virginia).General Notes
