Joseph HANKINS

Joseph was born about 1815.  Joseph's father was William HANKINS and his mother was Elizabeth McCARTY.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Hankins and Nancy Cain. He had five brothers and three sisters, named James, William, John C., Moses, Aaron, Burillah, Martha Ann and Sarah Ann.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died about 1861 in IL.

‌Joseph and Nancy were married in a religious ceremony on November 29th, 1832.  They had five sons named William, John, Jacob, Archibald and Walton.
