Sarah Ann HANKINS

Sarah Ann was born on December 3rd, 1830.  Sarah Ann's father was William HANKINS and her mother was Elizabeth McCARTY.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Hankins and Nancy Cain. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, James, William, John C., Moses, Aaron, Burillah and Martha Ann.  She was the youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 78 on March 30th, 1909.

‌Sarah Ann and William A. were married in a religious ceremony on July 18th, 1850 in Jefferson,IN.  They had a son and five daughters, named Marion, Elizabeth, Martha, Mary Letitia, Nancy Adeline and Rebecca.
