William HANKINS

William was born about 1818.  William's father was William HANKINS and his mother was Elizabeth McCARTY.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Hankins and Nancy Cain. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, James, John C., Moses, Aaron, Burillah, Martha Ann and Sarah Ann.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.

‌William and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on September 27th, 1849 in Jefferson,IN.  They had four sons and two daughters, named Silas, Thomas, John, Moses, Carrie and Melissa.
