John C. HANKINS

John C. was born about 1821.  John C.'s father was William HANKINS and his mother was Elizabeth McCARTY.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Hankins and Nancy Cain. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, James, William, Moses, Aaron, Burillah, Martha Ann and Sarah Ann.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.

‌John C. and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on April 10th, 1841 in Jefferson,IN.  They had a son named Stephen.
