Joan was born on July 22nd, 1210 in Gloucester, England.1 Joan's father was John Lackland and her mother was Isabella Taillefer. Her paternal grandparents were Henry II de Anjou Plantagenet and Eleanor de Aquitaine; her maternal grandparents were Alymer de Valence and Alice de Courtenay. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Henry III, Richard, Isabella and Eleanor. She had a half-sister named Joanna of England. She died in near London, England.1 General Notes
