Rotrou II de was born in 1089 in Of, Perche, France.1 Rotrou II de's father was Geoffrey de Mortaigne and his mother was Beatrice De Montdidier. His paternal grandparents were Routrou I de Montague and Adela de Bellme; his maternal grandparents were Hildouin IV De Montdidier and Alice De Roucy. He had three sisters named Margaret De, Julienne de and Maud Countess Of. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 55 on May 8th, 1144 in siege of Rouen, France.1 General Notes
