Adelmode de was born about 1070 in LaMarche, Normandy.1 Adelmode de's father was Adalbert III la Marche and her mother was Pontia de la Marche. Her paternal grandparents were Bernard I la Marche and Amelia de Aulnay; her maternal grandparents were Hugh VII le Brun and Sarazine of Armenia. She had a brother named Boson III la.
