de Courtenay Capet Pierre 
de Courtenay Capet was born about 1125 in Montargis, France.1 De Courtenay Capet's father was Louis VI le Gros Capet and his mother was Adelaide Alix de Maurienne. His paternal grandparents were Philippe I Capet and Bertha de Hainault; his maternal grandparents were Humbert II le Gros de Maurienne and Gisele de Bourgogne-Ivrea. He had four brothers and a sister, named Philippe, Henri de Beauvais, Louis VII le Jeune, Robert de Dreux and Constance de Toulouse. He was the youngest of the six children. He died on April 10th, 1183 in Palestine.1 General Notes
