Humbert II le Gros de was born in 1062 in Maurienne, France.1 Humbert II le Gros de's father was Amadeus II de Maurienne and his mother was Jeanne de Genevre. His paternal grandparents were Oddone de Maurienne and Adelais de Suza; his maternal grandparents were Gerold II de Geneva and Gisela de Burgundy. He had two sisters named Adelaide de and Auxilia de. He died at the age of 41 on October 17th, 1103.1 General Notes
