Samuel Stocks

Samuel was born in 1771 at DeadManStone and his baptism took place on February 10th, 1771 in Almondbury.¹

Samuel's father was Joseph Stocks and his mother was Elizabeth Perkin. His paternal grandparents were David Stocks and Sarah Brook; his maternal grandparents were George Parkin and Susana (Hanah) Gleadhill . He had a brother and two sisters, and also four siblings of unknown gender, named George, Sally, Susannah, <child>, <child>, <child> and <child>. He was the fifth oldest of the eight children. He had two half-sisters named Martha and Hanah. He died at the age of 77 on June 29th, 1848 in Honley. His burial was on July 3rd, 1848 in Almondbury.²³
