Amelia, wife of John Shaw, or Newsome, and daughter of Samuel Stocks, of Berry Brow, died 1 February 1846, (age) 54. Said John Shaw died March 29 1850, 58.
However, there is an Amelia alive in 1871, aged 74 living with her son Joseph Shaw from Emley (8 miles E of Newsome).
General Notes
Amelia married John Shaw in 10 Oct 1811. The NC baprism for her daughter Ann is very interesting. It shows Ameila was also known as Molly, and Amelia's father Joseph was an Inn keeper in 1812
