Ruth Stocks

Ruth was born in 1799 in Almondbury.

Ruth's father was Samuel Stocks and her mother was Sally (Sarah) Brook. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Stocks and Elizabeth Perkin. She had three brothers and six sisters, named James, George, Samuel, Molly, Salomey, Martha, Sarah, Ellen and Elizabeth. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 19 on August 18th, 1818 in Berry Brow. Her burial was on August 22nd, 1818 in Almondbury.¹¹
