Thomas Oxton

Thomas was born in July 1848 in Little Neston.¹

Thomas' father was Joseph Oxton and his mother was Rachel Williams. His maternal grandparents were Samuel Williams and Ann Millington. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, William, Joseph, John, George, Anne, Alice, Margaret, Mary and Rachel. He was the youngest of the eleven children.

- Thomas appears to have been a late arrival, being born almost 10 years after his younger siblings. However, there were three other children that died young (4 and under).
