Joseph Oxton

Joseph was born in 1828 in Neston and his baptism took place on April 10th, 1828 in Cheshire.¹

Joseph's father was Joseph Oxton and his mother was Rachel Williams. His maternal grandparents were Samuel Williams and Ann Millington. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William, Joseph, John, George, Thomas, Anne, Alice, Margaret, Mary and Rachel. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 4 in 1832 in Neston. His burial was on March 1st, 1832 in Neston.²

General Notes
- 10 Apr 1828 baptism shows mother as Rachel Jones (not Williams). There is another baptism at Neston 20 Feb 1829 with parents named as Joseph and Rachel so perhaps this was a correction!
