William Mather

William's father was James Mather and his mother was Mary Higham.  His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Ann Berrington. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James, Thomas, Joshua, Ann, Catherine, Mary, Ellen and Margaret.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 61 in April 1861 in Warrington.  He was buried on April 18th, 1861 at St. Aidan (Billinge).^1 2
