Thomas, born 1685 son of John Mather named his first son John. He was from a wealthy family as he bacame an Attorney and Gentleman
In 1731, Thomas was described as a gentleman when the twins were baptised.
In 1745, Thomas Mather, Attorney or Billinge died and is buried at Wigan
Thomas and Hannah were married. They had four sons and three daughters, named John, James, Thomas, Richard, Elizabeth, Alice and Margaret. Margaret and John were twins.
