Thomas Mather

Thomas was born in August 1811 in Billinge and his baptism took place on August 11th, 1811 at St. Aidan (Billinge).¹

Thomas' father was James Mather and his mother was Mary Higham.  His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Ann Berrington. He had three brothers and five sisters, named William, James, Joshua, Ann, Catherine, Mary, Ellen and Margaret.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 49 in February 1861 in Billinge.  He was buried on February 24th, 1861 at St. Aidan (Billinge).¹
