Thomas Mather

Thomas was born in August 1791 in Billinge and his baptism took place on August 21st, 1791 at St. Aidan (Billinge).¹

Thomas' father was Henry Mather and his mother was Betty Anderton.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Hannah Cross. He had six brothers and three sisters, named John, Richard, Richard, Henry, James, James, Mary, Hannah and Hannah.  He was the second oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 38 in January 1830 in Billinge.  He was buried on January 22nd, 1830 at St. Aidan (Billinge).¹
