Richard Mather

Richard was born in August 1798 in Billinge and his baptism took place on August 19th, 1798 at St. Aidan (Billinge).¹

Richard's father was Henry Mather and his mother was Betty Anderton.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Hannah Cross. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, Richard, Henry, James, James, Mary, Hannah and Hannah.  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 1 in March 1800 in Billinge.  He was buried on March 17th, 1800 at St. Aidan (Billinge).¹
