Susanna's father was
Richard Mather and her mother was
Ann Howarth. Her paternal grandparents were
John Mather and
Ellen Blinstone; her maternal grandparents were
Edmund Howarth and
Anne. She had four brothers and four sisters, named
Isaac,
James,
Solomon,
Richard,
Susan,
Nancy,
Ann and
Alice. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died about 1764 in
Turton.
Death Notes
Assumed to have died an infant, as the next daughter was also baptised Susan.
A Susannah Mather was buried at St Mary's Manchester, 1 Dec 1840, aged 75 (2 years out), which is unlikely to be her.
On 16-Sep-1764, a Susannah, D'r of John Mather was buried at Walton-le-Dale, Blackburn but this is wrong father and wrong place.
Perhaps Susannah never died, but got baptised twice !
