Sarah Jane Mather

Sarah was born in September 1859 in Entwistle.¹

Sarah's father was Isaac Mather and her mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Marsden. Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Rachel Hamer. She had five brothers and four sisters, named James, Simon, Luke, Joseph, John, Betty, Sophia, Ruth and Esther. She was the nineth oldest of the ten children. She had a half-brother named Isaac. She died at the age of 42 on November 24th, 1901.
