Nathan Mather

Nathan was born in 1829 in Pilkington and his baptism took place on March 1st, 1829 in Prestwich.¹

Nathan's father was Jesse Mather and his mother was Hannah Emmerson. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Margaret Scholes. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, James, Joseph, Aaron, Betty, Ellen, Hannah, Mary, Sarah, Rachel and Leah. He had an adopted sister named Esther. He died at the age of 81 in 1910 in Middleton.²
