Leah Mather

Leah was born in 1837 in Whitefield.¹

Leah's father was Jesse Mather and her mother was Hannah Emmerson.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Margaret Scholes. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Robert, James, Joseph, Nathan, Aaron, Betty, Ellen, Hannah, Mary, Sarah and Rachel. She had an adopted sister named Esther.

‌Leah and Kay were married in a religious ceremony on August 11th, 1861 at All Saints (Stand).²
