Joseph Mather

Joseph was born in 1822 in Whitefield.¹

- Aged 19 in 1841 at Half Acre, Pilkington
  Aged 29 in 1851, born Whitefield

Joseph's father was Jesse Mather and his mother was Hannah Emmerson. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Margaret Scholes. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, James, Nathan, Aaron, Betty, Ellen, Hannah, Mary, Sarah, Rachel and Leah. He had an adopted sister named Esther. He died at the age of 30 in 1852 in Pilkington.²
