Jesse Mather

Jesse was born in 1792 in Whitefield and his baptism took place on February 5th, 1792 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).¹²

Jesse's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Margaret Scholes. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Michael and Ellen. He was the third oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 59 in August 1851 in Whitefield. His burial was in August 1851 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).³

- In 1841, Jesse and Hannah (both 49) were at Half Acre (looks like "Half Close"), Pilkington with Betty (25), Ellen (24), James (21), Joseph (19), Hannah (14), Mary (14), Nathan (12), Sarah (10), Aaron (8), Ester 8) Rachel (6) and Leah (4).
  
  In 1851, Jesse and Hannah (59 & 58) were at Stand, Pilkington with Nathan (22), Aaron (17), Rachel (16) and Leah (14).
  
  Jesse died in Q3 1851 (and his son Arron at Half Acre in 1854).
