Michael Mather

Michael was born in 1790 in Whitefield and his baptism took place on August 1st, 1790 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).¹

Michael's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Margaret Scholes. He had three brothers and a sister, named Samuel, Thomas, Jesse and Ellen.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 58 in December 1848 in Manchester.²
