Moses Mather

Moses was born in 1822 in Heywood and his baptism took place there on January 12th, 1823.¹²

Moses' father was John Mather and his mother was Ann Manock. His paternal grandparents were Bold (Bould) Mather and Alice Taylor. He had five brothers and five sisters, named James, John, Joseph, <male>, Samuel, Mary, Alice, Sarah, Ann and Jane. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 69 in June 1891 in Bury.³

- Moses was 20 in 1841, with his parents John and Ann. The Moses aged 15 with Ellis Mather at Mather's Fold is another.

  In 1881, Moses (Widower, 58) and Samuel (41) were boarding with their sister Ann Manock (47) hand her husband Thomas (42) and family.
