Margaret was born in September 1791 in Warrington and her baptism took place on September 11th, 1791 at St. Elphin (Warrington).1  Margaret's father was John Mather and her mother was Ellen Cropper (Dierden).  Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Margaret Newell. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Peter, Robert, John, Peter, Martha, Alice, Alice and Ellen.  She was the second oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 76 in January 1868 in Whiston.  She was buried on January 21st, 1868 in Prescot.2 



Margaret's family with Thomas Abraham

‌Margaret and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on July 19th, 1815 in Runcorn.3   They had two sons and three daughters, named Thomas, Thomas, Sarah, Ellen and Mary.
