Margaret Mather

Margaret was born in September 1806 in Breightmet and her baptism took place on September 14th, 1806 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Margaret's father was John Mather and her mother was Ann Brabin. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Betty Thornley. She had three brothers and nine sisters, named James, Thomas, Martha, Betty, Alice, Hannah, Mary, Sarah, Mary, Ellen, Mary and Jane. Margaret and Mary were twins.
