James Mather

James was born in 1807 in Bolton and his baptism took place on November 22nd, 1807 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

James' father was James Mather and his mother was Sarah Makin.  His paternal grandparents were Elias Mather and Margaret Whittle. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named William, John, James, James, Thomas, Peggy, Peggy, Ann, Ann, Nancy, Ann and Sarah.  He was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children.  He died due to a childhood disease at the age of 2 in June 1809 in Bolton.  He was buried on June 17th, 1809 at St. Peter's (Bolton).²
