Ann Mather

Ann was born in May 1802 in Bolton and her baptism took place on August 22nd, 1802 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Ann's father was James Mather and her mother was Sarah Makin. Her paternal grandparents were Elias Mather and Margaret Whittle. She had six brothers and six sisters, named William, John, James, James, James, Thomas, Peggy, Peggy, Ann, Ann, Nancy and Sarah. She was the eighth oldest of the thirteen children.

  There is no obvious Bolton marriage for Ann. She would be under 16y old if the 29 Dec 1817 marriage to Tom Horrocks is her. The 1823 Bury marriage to Abraham Collins is also uklikely as they were in Rossdendale in 1841.
