Hannah was born in 1821 in Astley and her baptism took place on December 8th, 1821 in Leigh.¹

Birth Notes

Hannah's father was Otho Mather and her mother was Rhoda Unsworth. Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Eckersley. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Peter, James, Walter, Thomas, Ellis, Ann and Elizabeth. She was the second youngest of the eight children.
