Ellis Mather 
Ellis was born in 1807 in Astley. Ellis' father was Otho Mather and her mother was Rhoda Unsworth. Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Eckersley. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Peter, James, Walter, Thomas, Ann, Elizabeth and Hannah. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died in February 1807 in Astley. She was buried on February 28th, 1807 at St. Stephens (Astley).1 1 Death Notes
