Edmund was born about 1796 as aged 34 when died at Newchurch in Rossendale. The 1797 baptism for Edmund son of Robert at Brindle, abode Withnell is a good match. Other siblings of father Robert were also born at Withnell.
There are two Edmund deaths at Newchurch in Rossendale. His son was buried 13 Jan 1824 (with both parents named), and then Edmund himself 15 Dec 1830 (agd 34 so born 1796)

From 1823 Edmund's occupation was Dyer in Newchurch in Rossendale. He died in 1830 while still employed there.3

James died between 1861 and 1871. The only Lancashire date match is at Poulton-le-Fylde, Blackpool, aged 41, which seems unlikely unless he was on his holidays (a popular holiday destination). The only local death is in 1871. This is possible as death is before the census.
