Robert Mather

Robert was born on September 12th, 1792 in Withnell and his baptism took place on September 21st, 1792 at St. Laurence (Chorley).¹

Robert's father was Robert Mather and his mother was Peggy Duerden.  His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Esther Mason. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Thomas, Edmund, Richard, Esther and Margaret.  He was the third oldest of the seven known children.  He died at the age of 23 in March 1816 in Withnell.  He was buried on March 28th, 1816 in Leyland.²
