Birth Notes

Betsy's father was John Mather and her mother was Martha Jordan. Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Mary Wood. She had six brothers and five sisters, named James, Samuel, William, Robert, Thomas, John, Mary, Ellen, Hannah, Hannah and Martha. She was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.
