Lois was born on September 11th, 1919 in Bolton and her baptism took place there on October 30th, 1919.1 2  Lois' father was Leonard Mason and her mother was Annie Shuttleworth.  Her maternal grandparents were Samuel Shuttleworth and Lois Pollitt. She had a brother, and also a sibling of unknown gender named Harold and (infant).  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died due to a cardiac arrest, 1(a) Pulmonary Oedema, (b) Congestive Cardiac Failure, (c) Atrial Fibrillation, at the age of 80 on February 7th, 2000 in Farnworth.3

‌Lois and William were married in a religious ceremony on October 9th, 1948 in Bolton.1  They had two sons and a daughter, named Gordon, Ian and Lois.  There are no more children.
