Ralph Isherwood

Ralph was born in 1826 in Bolton and his baptism took place on August 28th, 1826 in Preston.¹²

Ralph's father was Ralph Isherwood and his mother was Ann Mather. His paternal grandparents were James Isherwood and Susan Crompton; his maternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Alice Fielding. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, John, James, Mary, Jenny, Charlotte, Ann, Susan and Alice. He had an adopted sister named Charlotte. He died at the age of 49 in October 1875 in Preston. His burial was on October 28th, 1875 at St. John (Preston).³

  Our Ralph may have immigrated to the USA. However, the immigration records show Ralph born 15 March 1827, so this is the other Ralph, not from Preston.
