Thomas was born in 1851 in Adlington.¹

Birth Notes

Thomas' father was Richard Hanson and his mother was Margaret (Peggy) Mather. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Amy (Amey or Emy) Worsley. He had two brothers and ten sisters, named Edmund, Henry, Sarah, Margaret, Ann, Esther, Mary, Nancy, Elizabeth, Margaret, Harriot and Martha. He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 3 in 1854 in Adlington.¹
