Maria Hamer

Maria was born in 1883 in Bolton.¹ Maria's father was James Cunliffe Hamer and her mother was Happy Collings. Her paternal grandparents were Peter Hamer and Elizabeth (Betsy) Cunliffe; her maternal grandparents were John Collings and Sarah Williams. She had six sisters named Sarah, Mary, Emma, Happy, Eva and Ethel. She was the fifth oldest of the seven children.
