Ethel Hamer

Ethel was born in 1889 in Bolton.¹ Ethel's father was James Cunliffe Hamer and her mother was Happy Collings. Her paternal grandparents were Peter Hamer and Elizabeth (Betsy) Cunliffe; her maternal grandparents were John Collings and Sarah Williams. She had six sisters named Sarah, Mary, Emma, Happy, Maria and Eva. She was the youngest of the seven children.
