Eva Hamer

Eva was born on March 19th, 1885 in Bolton and her baptism took place on August 14th, 1884 at St. John (Bolton) conducted by Vicar Walter Chamberlan.^1 2

Eva's father was James Cunliffe Hamer and her mother was Happy Collings.  Her paternal grandparents were Peter Hamer and Elizabeth (Betsy) Cunliffe; her maternal grandparents were John Collings and Sarah Williams. She had six sisters named Sarah, Mary, Emma, Happy, Maria and Ethel.  She was the second youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 87 in 1972.
