Elizabeth (Betty) Farrand (Elizabeth Favien)

Elizabeth, known as Betty, was born in 1804 in Deane.¹

She died after 1871.

Death Notes
- It is either this Elizabeth or more likely Betty Cooper who died in 1873, aged 69, abode Turton, and buried at Bradshaw.

General Notes
- In 1826, Betty Favien (or Fairen) married William Mather at Bolton that same day as Richard Mather married Mary Rosthorn. They were not brothers. Later, birth registrations record the mother as "Farrand"
  
  In 1841, William and Betty (both 35, hand loom weavers) were were at Laths House, Bolton with Thomas (17), John (15), Susannah (11) and James (9).
  
  In 1861, Elizabeth Mather (58) was with William (17) and Elizabeth (12).
  
  In 1871, Elizabeth Mather (68, Head, Wid) was living with her son James (37, a moulder) and his three children at 53 Back Renninalt(?) Street, East Bolton (St Mark's)
  
  In 1873, Betty Mather died, aged 69. This may be Betty Cooper.

Occupation Details
- From 1861 Betty's occupation was Cotton Reeler in Bolton.

- Betty lived with James Mather.
