Thomas Mather

Thomas was born in August 1824 in Deane and his baptism took place on August 1st, 1824 at St. Mary (Deane).^1 2

Thomas' father was William Mather and his mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Farrand.  His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Betty Edge. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, James, Wright, Wright, William, Susannah, Ellen and Elizabeth.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 33 in December 1857 in Bolton.  He was buried on December 20th, 1857 at St. Mary (Deane).³
