Ruth Crook

Ruth was born on June 27th, 1806 in Turton and her baptism took place about 1806 at Walmsley Presbyterian.¹ Ruth's father was Thomas Crook and her mother was Hannah (Nanny) Walsh. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Thomas, Joseph, Luke, Dan, Peter, Charles, Nanny and Mary. She was the nineth oldest of the eleven children.
