James Crook

James was born on October 12th, 1792 in Turton and his baptism took place on November 20th, 1792 at Walmsley Presbyterian.¹ James' father was Thomas Crook and his mother was Hannah (Nanny) Walsh. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas, Joseph, Luke, Dan, Peter, Charles, Nanny, Mary and Ruth. He was the third oldest of the eleven children.
