Esther Collins (Esther Collings)

Esther was born in June 1840 in Bolton.¹

Esther's father was William Collings and her mother was Maria Mather. Her maternal grandparents were James Mather and Happy Lomax. She had two brothers and three sisters, named James, Joseph, Mary, Sarah and Maria. She was the youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 57 in August 1897 in Bolton. Her burial was on August 7th, 1897.²³

- In 1851, Esther (10) was with her parents William and Maria at Mason Fold, Horwich.
  
  Esther was a cotton reeler, 20, unmarried in 1861, living with sister Mary Berry and her family.
  
  Esther did not marry Thomas Jameson as this Esther was a minor, and daughter of James. Esther Collins married William Rostron in 1869, and was still a cotton reeler in 1891. From her marriage onwards, she spelt her maiden name COLLINS.
