In 1901 the census is more specific. Birthplace is Guide Bridge, which is just 500m North of Hooley Hill. Their son Willian B however (on the same census), is born at Hooley Hill.

In 1871, Martha was 10, the oldest daughter of Benjamin and Patients.
William and Martha lived in Hollingwood, Oldham. Martha was living at Marshside, Southport in 1911. Her daughter Beatrice was with her. Had she separated from her husband? Well she is still recorded as married.
Her husband was a Baptist Pastor, which is consistent with this baptist family.

The whole family (all sons and daughters) are still there in 1871, now called Guide Lane again.
In 1881, the house number is also recorded (as 42). Only Patiens and the 4 youngest children, Ellen, Edith, Bertrice, and Silas remain.
